The Diddly Team

The best farm shop....

In 2020, we accidentally grew tonnes of potatoes. We say accidentally, we planted them on purpose, we didn’t expect such amazing results!

That's probably the best way to describe how Diddly Squat Farm Shop came to be. Not a grand plan. More of a realisation that this land produces beautiful things, that people want to know where their food actually comes from, and that there was something worth building here.

So we made it happen. Slowly, honestly, with a lot of help from the most extraordinary team and trusted fellow local producers. That matters to us enormously. The items on these shelves have people behind them, and a story of hard work and care.

Farming isn't just romantic; it's real, and often really hard. That's why we have our rallying cry, For Farms’ Sake, because we know just how much effort goes into any type of farming.

We hope the shop and our produce reflects that honesty. No pretending. No dressing it up. Just good food, from good people, grown in good soil.

We're so glad you found us, welcome to Diddly Squat.

Our Partnerships

The Ernest Cook Trust is an educational charity rooted in the land. With head offices in Gloucestershire, whilst caring for 9,000 hectares of land across the country, they are both local and nationwide. Their mission is to help people grow connections with the land through outdoor learning. Whether that's through school visits, experiences in nature, farm-based learning, or career pathways, the Ernest Cook Trust believes everyone can find their purpose and potential through connections to thriving land.

Diddly Squat Farm Shop shares this ambition to connect young people to their local landscapes, food systems, and potential careers outdoors. We are part of a shared environment and community that understands the value of farming, local connections, and learning.

We are really excited to be exploring a charity partnership together - supporting young people's futures in farming through funding, hands-on learning opportunities, and growing our shared community.
